The Big ALbum Release
The BIG Album showcases Al’s musical styles, ranging from flat out steamrollin’ Country to R&B, Blues and Rock with a bit of New Orleans Second Line thrown in, all featuring some smoking guitar work, slide, heavy rhythms, harmony vocals and interplay between the solo instruments.
Musicians include Travis “Too Tall” Bettis and Pete Sternberg from Lee Brice’s Band, Texas songstress Carolyn Wonderland and Houston Stratomaster the Very Teri Greene.
The set includes five Big Al originals and favorite songs collected over the years of performance, including a new tune “Gone Aluminum,” written by Nashville hitmakers Earl Bud Lee, Bobby Carmichael and newcomer Dusty Weeks, one by Too Tall and Big Al “Fingerprint Blues” with a guitar duet, and previously unpublished classic, “Four Time Loser” by Austin’s Ernie Gammage, and unique instrumental versions of “Night Train” and “Last Date.”
